Request the current guidance for the exact product and package. Confirm any stated unopened storage period and ask how the recommendation changes after opening. Do not infer an opened-bag expiry from another polymer or an industry example.
Review the storage location and handling arrangements with the plant team. Record relevant exposure, package damage or unusual conditions. Follow the product SDS for safe handling, spills and any material that may be compromised.
Preserve identity after the first use
Keep the product code and batch identification attached to the remaining material. Record the opening date and storage location. If approved repackaging is necessary, preserve the same identification and required handling information.

Inspect before reuse
